PURE WATER

Have you ever heard this; a person can live without air for 3 seconds, without water for 3 days, without food for 3 weeks , and without sex for 3 dates? Ok, some of that data may not be real or accurate.

But if the human body is actually 70% water, that’s probably not something you want to mess around with – getting enough water, I mean. But did you ever think about the quality of the water you’re drinking?

Safe drinking water is just one of those things I think we take for granted, like when you’re trying to catch an elevator that’s closing and whoever is inside will help you by holding open the door for you because…it’s down-right embarrassing if you don’t do anything to help. And they make it. I know because I’ve been there. I was the guy in the elevator that just stood there like an idiot. Talk about being at a loss for words. I just stood there and stared into space. Then when I heard his heavy breathing, I said, “Is someone in here?”

Anyways, back to the water; it’s just one of those things you don’t think about until a lawsuit comes up.

Recently, our local paper reported “a federal judge will decide on penalties against the city after a ruling that partially sided with three environmental groups saying the city’s waste-water system had repeatedly violated the federal Clean Water Act. ” We’re talking about penalties of up to hundreds of millions of dollars in the lawsuit!

The paper said a judge ruled a wastewater treatment plant released levels higher than the authorized limit of a bacteria called enterococcus 1,603 times. The city had also released levels exceeding permitted limits of biochemical oxygen demand and total suspended solids 218 times and a pesticide called dieldrin three times. They also violated the permit 1,578 times by not building a disinfection facility for four years after their deadline.

It’s no wonder so many people are sick around here!

Instead of getting sick and suing, people should just get a good water treatment system

and then join a class action suit!

Be Blessed!
