But it comes with a price - it's called interest. Add that to the statistics of 80% of business started, failed within 3-5 years. Are you ready to face those odds?

Sure; if your life savings is about $1,000, and you've got no other mouths to feed. Honestly, would you bet your entire life's savings on a horse that has only a 20% chance of winning a race .

Whoever told you you had to have a lot of money to start a business is either trying to get you to borrow from them - with interest, of course; or, they're speaking from their own ignorance, doubts, or fears. While it may have been true in the past; today, with the internet, you can literally have a business up and running in minutes, and for about $65.

If I wanted to start my own business, I would... Your Answer: Quit my job so I could spend 60 - 80 hours a week working hard for me, myself, and I. Sorry. To cut off your primary source of income so you can work twice as hard to climb our of the pit of debt to launch your business may be adventureous and exciting if you're young and single, but try that while being responsible for taking care of anyone else is foolish. To do it when it's not necessary is stupid.

If I wanted to start my own business, I would... Your Answer: Keep working my job, and run my business an additional 40 hours a week, so I wouldn't have to spend time with my spouse and kids. Sorry. If your intention is to get away from your family, there's cheaper and less stressful ways to do it than starting your own business. Ideally, a part time business that can bring in more income than your job should allow you to free up more time - by quiting your job, so you can spend more time with people you love than people you tolerate (co-workers).

If I wanted to start my own business, I would... Your Answer: Start a business that I could work 8-10 hours of non-productive time a week. Congratulations! It doesn't take a rocket scientest to know the average person is not getting ahead by being non-productive. Why not take advantage of this time and make money? And a lot of it at that!

If I started my own business, I would start a business... Your Answer: That required a degree or certification or license, so I could hang it on the wall, and impress all my friends. Sorry. That's a lot of money, stress, and trouble to go through just to try to impress someone with a piece of paper. You want to impress someone? Get rich.

If I started my own business, I would start a business... Your Answer: That required learning a new skill that not to many people know so that I could impress all my friends. And the in-laws. Sorry. The more skill required to learn a money making trade, the longer it takes to get proficient, and the longer it takes to make good money at it. The longer it takes to master the skill, the longer it'll take to become rich. And if being rich isn't impressive enough, you can always hire someone to teach you how to juggle.

Why wouldn't anyone take the quickest and simpelist way to do everything? Especially when it come to making money. That's why so many "Income Opportunity" don't work for most people - no one bothers to read the manuel. Give me a business plan less than two pages long!
